XXV International Brass Festival Italian Brass Week

2014

Italian Brass Week 2014

Brass players from all over the world, they will meet again in Italy to put themselves under the wings of great virtuosos, international soloists and members of the great orchestras of the world, their Masters. They will give breath to the brass, breath to their vocation, music to the public.
During the Italian Brass Week the hour of new jazz bands, solo recitals and concerts of the Italian Brass Week Ensemble will also play - the always unprecedented, unrepeatable and festive international formation directed for the occasion by Dale Clevenger, Luca Benucci and by Roger Bobo.
In the Theater and in the Piazza del Castello di Vinci, at the Opera di Firenze and on the Arno at the Ponte Vecchio, even the general public will be amazed.

The Italian Brass Week has the breath and protection of amateurs and professionals of the arts, producers and ambassadors of Tuscany and mecenti - even for scholarschips. It enjoys the patronage of the municipalities of Vinci, the city of Florence and the Tuscany Region and is in collaboration with Opera di Firenze.
The masters are limited to one hundred students: in this edition 24 countries around the world are already involved.
The 2014 master will be held in the schools and in the theater of the hometown of a profound connoisseur of the "Figuration of invisible things" as well as an acoustic physics experimenter and lyre improviser: Leonardo da Vinci.
The artistic direction is by Maestro Luca Benucci, principal Horn of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
