The International Festival 'Italian Brass Week' reaches its 25th edition this year and will take place in Florence , from 21 to 28 July 2023. The Festival was born within the Italian Brass Network Cultural and Musical Association, in collaboration with the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Florentine Chamber Orchestra, with the patronage of the Municipality and Metropolitan City of Florence, the Tuscany Region, the Consulates and international Embassies.

It has been directed by Maestro Luca Benucci since its foundation.

The Masterclasses, individual lessons and all educational activities will be held at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

Internationally renowned soloists and teachers will devote themselves to your training with care and attention.

Individual lessons, breathing lessons, singing lessons, group masterclasses, instrument exhibitions, chamber music for brass. the large brass ensemble, Conferences, will guarantee first-rate training.

The Concerts 

An IBW exclusive, you will be able to hear wonderful musicians who will meet for the first time and will give life to the uniqueness of this year by playing together in ensembles designed to enhance their virtuosity.

Arrangements and world premiere will be a unique artistic production!

During the week, various Brass groups will be formed, where all of you will find a space to give breath to your vocation.

Florence and Tuscany

They are in themselves a good reason to take a trip, with its works of art preserved in major museums such as the Uffizi, the Academy of Fine Arts, but the really nice thing is that Florence is an open-air museum open. Just stroll through the historic center to see works such as the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti and many others.

The Master Classes and all the activities will be concentrated in the new IBW Opera Theater of Florence and concerts in various locations in the city able to give and excite the participants in the events.

From 1200 to 2024, 800 years of history and culture, the precious architecture of palaces and churches, theaters and squares, will frame the XXIV edition of the Brass Week.
